Do I need to title and register my trailer?
In North Carolina, yes, trailers must be titled and registered, much like cars. Failure to do so may result in penalties. Are there any exemptions?
Certain trailers are exempt from registration requirements in North Carolina, including those used for agricultural purposes or tow dollies. However, most trailers require a North Carolina license plate. What documents do you need?
To initiate the titling and registration process for your trailer, you'll need the following documents:
