We offer gap coverage for financed trailers along with service, theft, and roadside protection plans for all trailers.
Promotions include as low as 0% APR and zero down loans. This is for qualified applicants only.
What is GAP Protection?
People assume the insurance company will cover any loss. In reality, the "actual cash value" (ACV) that insurance companies assign the trailer may be substantially less than the original loan amount to purchase the trailer.
So if the trailer is damaged or stolen and is deemed a total loss, you will likely still be responsible for the "GAP", or the money you have left to pay on the loan after the insurance company pays you their ACV.
Security
GAP coverage pays off the remaining principal balance on your finance contract, plus your deductible*, in the event of a total loss.
Benefits
- Covers finance contract up to 120% of the trailer's retail value
- Up to $25,000 maximum claim amount
- Covers Primary Insurance Deductible up to $1,000
- Amounts financed up to $350,000
Why GAP Coverage is So Important
Once the insurance pays out on the "actual cash value", you are still responsible for paying the GAP amount on the loan to settle your finance contract.

- Covers the only part of the vehicle that touches the road and the only part not covered by the manufacturer's warranty

- Tire must have a minimum of 3/32" tread depth

In addition to these coverages there is also additional benefits, including:
- A Towing Reimbursement for up to $150 per disability on covered claims.
- A Trip Interruption Reimbursement if you are more than 100 miles from your home and an authorized repair facility is keeping your trailer overnight. This benefit will reimburse you for receipted motel and restaurant expenses up to $75 per day for a maximum of three (3) days (total benefit per Trip Interruption occurrence of $225).

Over a million vehicles are stolen every year in the United States, and North Carolina is ranked 3rd in trailer theft! Most trailers are never recovered. Since most people carry a significant deductible on their insurance policy, trailer theft can result in substantial out-of-pocket costs to the owner.
The Trailergard Traceable Theft Protection Plan provides a unique identification code that is permanently affixed to multiple locations on your trailer. Because thieves know that vehicles equipped with such protection systems are easily traceable by the police, they frequently will seek out an easier target.
The Trailergard Traceable Theft Protection Plan often meets many insurance carrier's requirements for anti-theft, qualifying the system for insurance premium discounts.
