What an Equipment Defender Trimmer Rack Does
It holds the trimmer by the shaft, up off the deck, locked in place. Three things come out of that.
The trimmer stops bouncing. A string trimmer laid loose in a trailer takes a beating every time you hit a pothole on 85. Shafts bend, handles crack, and the engine mounts loosen. Racked, it rides still.
Nothing leaks. A trimmer stored upright keeps fuel and oil where they belong instead of weeping onto your deck and onto everything else you're hauling.
It doesn't walk off. This is the one that matters most. Equipment Defender's whole design centers on theft. The rack includes a keyed lock, with a combination lock available as an option, so a trimmer sitting on an open trailer at a job site is secured rather than just resting there.
How They're Built
Two-step finish. The rack is submerged in an E-coat bath first, which coats the inside of the tubing and every corner a spray gun can't reach, then it gets powder coated on top. That combination is why these hold up outdoors in Piedmont humidity instead of blooming rust at the welds after one winter.
They mount on open trailers and inside enclosed trailers. Different bracket setups for rail-mount against wall-mount, so tell us which trailer you're putting it on and we'll match the hardware.
Where It Fits Against the Cheaper Racks
We also sell Buyers Products racks, and we sell a lot of them. Buyers is the value option and it does the job for a homeowner or a light-use crew. Equipment Defender is the heavier commercial line.
